Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies, and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, and make them modern with wonderful colors and a vintage twist..... love to incorporate them into my own vintage inspired art an accessories. Pleased to say that my jewelry was worn my Ellen Burstyn in the movie "GRETA" starring Ellen and Hillary Duff filmed in historical town of Ocean Grove N.J.

College tour......

What a perfect day to visit with Brit, Myles's girlfriend who is attending Lafayette College in Easton PA.
the weather was perfect and so were the grounds of the college...Brit gave us the tour and I most say we were really impressed...it's a gorgeous campus......

we took a little drive into town for the farmers market and must say it was really a wonderful town and a wonderful place for a farmers market.... I learned all about pumpkins .like that beauty in the middle called a peanut pumpkin....from the nice people from Scholl Orchards

and the apple shaped pumpkins .........

the tomatoes were fabulous .....

I love how the farmers set up there produce......looks so nice and you want to buy and try everything.....

all I wanted to do was take pictures.......

can't wait to try these tomorrow for dinner.....

the market was right in the center of  Historic Downtown Easton Pa.

I have never seen so many colorful mushrooms....

they are from Primordia Mushroom farm

each mushroom was like a work of art..............

it was great that they provided so many recipe ideas for you to take.....

John and I

Harvest Festival in Sharon Springs New York September 2013

so happy I spotted the info about the festival from the Beekman Boys... we learned about them at the country living fair in duchess county New York back in the spring.....you can find more info here about up coming fairs.....http://dutchessfair.com/http://dutchessfair.com/

the tiny quaint town of Sharon Springs was jumping this weekend, they had some adorable live stock such as these  little cuties, that I was told will grow to be about 150lbs.......

couldn't resist getting to know Mamma Drama....she was as  sweet as can be.....

we stopped for lunch at the American Hotel and was amazed at how charming the building and the hosts were.....we had the most fabulous lunch made with all local ingredients...... we will for sure visit here again......

the town was all spruced up for fall and every where you looked there was the colors of fall...

there were farm stands, crafts, food vendors, live stock, beer gardens and a whole lot of super nice people ....

it was a few hours drive for us and we are so happy we didn't listen to the weather men who kept talking about RAIN.....  It turned out to be the best fall day in this adorable country town......

Beekman 1802 was so crowed and oh so special.....a must see store........

we had to find the farm where it all started and that too was picture perfect.......

you couldn't dream of a prettier place and surrounding farm lands.....

every where I looked I saw an opportunity to snap a picture.....

so peaceful and serene....I now know why they fell in LOVE with this town...

Thanks for a fabulous day Sharon Springs NY......

what I saw along our walk...................

Hadn't been on one of our favorite walks in a very long time.....
so today we decided to take the pup for a walk along the beaches in our town....

I am always looking for interesting photos along our journey......

it was a cool day here in New Jersey and the forecast was for a nice day but it turned out to be kinda of a grey day......

until I spotted these berries and leaves.....couldn't get over the intense color......

it was quiet, it was peaceful and what  a beautiful breeze......

we remembered why we love walking here so much.....

even Shelby loved it.....

I just LOVE these bulkheads or what ever you call them...they remind me of cities rising from the  water....

this gull looked like he had some problems with his foot.....it was always up and never down.....

we came upon this little critter right along the waters edge.....

and then I felt sorry for him and thought maybe I should have saved him or helped him out...the water washed up and then he was  gone......

hoping that you got out today to enjoy what mother nature has to offer......

HAPPY WEEKEND!

1st week of the new school year 2013....

I must say I really didn't  want to go back for the start of the new school year....I was having too much fun doing my own creative thing this summer......

I thought that I would show you around my room.....and what we are working on the first week of school 2013.
getting creative with some picmonkey school motifs......

class room ready for my students ..............

worked hard getting everything in its place......

hope they are ready for me.........ha ha ha

I just love the look of all the colorful supplies around the room.....

even the tape is colorful and I have to come up with a really interesting lesson to use these.....

our 1st assignment was to  create fall Zentangle leaves to decorate this huge tree I painted a few years back in the front hallway of our school....

my 8th graders were asked to create paper collage owls that would sit on the branches of this tree...

I was so happy to see what they created......and they all did such a great job....

how stinkin cute are these.....

they really enjoyed getting back into the swing of things this week.....

here's where all these owls landed......

I must say it looks adorable............

whooooo would know that the 1st week of school would turn out so nice.....

Looking forward to a creative year with my students......
