Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies, and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, and make them modern with wonderful colors and a vintage twist..... love to incorporate them into my own vintage inspired art an accessories. Pleased to say that my jewelry was worn my Ellen Burstyn in the movie "GRETA" starring Ellen and Hillary Duff filmed in historical town of Ocean Grove N.J.

A Beautiful day for a Flea Market.....................

John and I look forward to this day the entire year.......Ocean Grove Giant Flea Market...it happens twice a year, spring and fall.........

it is a great day to get out, meet up with friends, people watch, and hunt for bargains....

I am  so sorry I passed this little Prince bank up......he was so cute...

it's always makes the day special when you meet up with your friends who LOVE all the same things you do......Jenny and Aaron, Suze and Lenny, Michelle and her family, Mary-Ellen and Donald and so many others......

I was so happy to run into Kellyanne a student of mine, Kelly had taken several of my classes over the years that I teach right in Ocean Grove in the summer......Now she is selling paper quilled pictures inspired from my class......

it was so nice to see that she enjoyed the class and took it to the next level.......Nice work Kelly......

if you haven't been to Ocean Grove you really need to come and spend the afternoon.....there is ao many charming homes just like this one....

the perfect quaint town by the sea....

Centennial Cottage is looking gorgeous as always....can't wait in a few weeks I will be teaching 8 different art and craft classes...stay posted for the dates  and class descriptions........

John was so happy to find the pickle booth  Picklelious.......
after the market we unload at the car then head back out for lunch.......we love to stroll the boardwalk and go into Asbury for lunch on the boardwalk...great food and great views.......

whenever we are in Asbury we have to go to Carla Gizzi's shop called "The Beach" its right in Convention Hall

this adorable shop has everything you want and then some....things for the home, clothes, jewelry, great signs, things for baby's ...a great shop for that special gift or for the perfect item that you are dying for, for  yourself....

check it out you will be happy you did! She also has an amazing antique shop in Red Bank NJ called Riverbank Antiques...you will LOVE her style.....http://www.carlagizzi.com/http://www.carlagizzi.com/

we so enjoyed the day.....and we were so happy that the weather was that perfect temperature......

here's what we got.......I am always on the "hunt" for vintage frames...I love using them in my art and I couldn't resist these...When I spotted that rolling pin planter I knew I had to get it.....I have a real one that exact color.......so I went up to the man and asked him "how much for the pink rolling pin planter" thinking that he would say something ridiculously expensive and that I would probably think it isn't worth what he is going to say......WOW! was I surprised when he said $2.00...that's right 2 bucks....... yay! can't wait to plan it and keep on the kitchen counter.....

then I found this adorable apron...in all my favorite colors......LOVE wearing them to work...I am an art teacher and I so can get away with wearing them...LOVE!

a huge roll of lilac satin ribbon also $2.00 and a pair of adorable flower earrings.....

oh yeah and these adorable vintage candle picks, and candles that I know will look so cute on those perfect cupcakes.....

walking along the boardwalk I love seeing these beach roses....they look so pretty and smell even better......

to top off this perfect day...my dear friend Mary-Ellen asked me to stop by to see her before I left the market....I was so HAPPY I did...she gave me a shopping bag filled with all kinds of vintage trims, papers, pipe cleaners, you name i t it was in that awesome goody bag she had been saving for me.......I have the best friends.......

Treasure Hunting along the shores...................

I was on the hunt for some drift wood for a craft project I want to make.....so  we decided to take a ride down to the waterfront in our  town called Lawrence Harbor.  It was the perfect day, the sun was shinning the weather was warm with a nice cool breeze...you couldn't ask for a prettier day!

there was a lot of debris on the beach and was nice to see so many crews helping out cleaning up the water front today.

it's nice to know that my town of Old Bridge New Jersey has a water front....

there was so much to look at............the sand, shells, driftwood, stones, board walk, fishing piers, jetties....

what a nice surprise to find this rose bush filled with gorgeous color, flowers and so many buds....

we spotted a  lot of the horseshoe crabs......which makes us think that the waters are getting cleaner.....or at least we are praying they are........

I always admired theses old wood pilings...

they remind me of a city.... along the water......

I hope you get a chance to get out today and Enjoy mother Nature......
